Tony Parker and Scott Hammond have worked together for almost thirty years creating museum quality exhibits and dioramas. A casual conversation about the direction the Contemporary Art market has taken in the last few decades forged their will to produce items of Contemporary Art that didn’t hide behind meaningless objects with irrelevant and worthless titles as is now so often the case. Rather, they chose to create pieces of significance, many of which take on the human disasters of religion, war and genocide, uncompromisingly and using many of the icons of the very subject they depict. The titles are evocative and actually tell the viewer what the piece means. Their first collection is titled ‘Shock & Awe’ the very two emotions they hope the works will engender. Two more collections of greater scope and importance are being planned at the moment.
